Activities which pertain to the Christian Formation

Biblical

 Christian formation has been carried out through regular Holy Eucharistic celebration, breaking of Word of God, B.C.C prayer, Catechism, Logos Quiz etc.


Theological

 There existed a Bible college in our Forane Church Munnar an extension of Pontifical Institute of Theology and Philosophy, Alwaye started in the year 2014 and it was opened for all. The courses were a mile stone for the faithful to grow in their faith and to have deep Christian formation with the help of theological back ground. The classes were conducted on every Sunday.


Liturgical

 Every Sunday each family unit, catechism students and youth take up the responsibility for the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist. They prepare well to make the celebration meaningful. Altar boys are well trained for their participation in the liturgical celebration. By receiving the sacrament of reconciliation regularly the faithful specially the children are strengthened in their Christian formation


Moral and Social

 Through house visits and regular family unit prayer the faithful are helped to grow morally and spiritually. Various pious associations carry out different activities specially the charitable works to uplift the poor and bring them to the forefront.

How do they lead to obtain effect

 Faithful are very receptive to the formation given to them. There is a gradual growth in their Christian, moral and social life.


When period

 BCC prayer- every week

Catechism- on every Sunday

Logos Quiz- once in a year

Sacrament of reconciliation- on every second Saturday for the catechism students and for the faithful on occasions like Advent, Lent and whenever they are in need


Participation

 The faithful participate well in the activities attached to the church in order to mould themselves in Christian formation.
